Lisa Gersh
President and COO

Lisa Gersh is the President, Chief Operating Officer and co-founder of Oxygen, the only women owned and operated network. Under her leadership, Oxygen came full circle in 2004 when she led the network to its first year of positive cash flow.

Ms. Gersh has also been charged with leading the advertising sales team since 2002. During this period, under her leadership, advertising sales revenue has more than quadrupled to over $100 million. In addition, Ms. Gersh has been integral to all of the network's distribution agreements, growing Oxygen from its inception to its current 72 million homes.

In addition to her duties at Oxygen, Ms. Gersh sits on the boards of The Knot.com, Pro Ad Pac and the Emma Bowen Foundation. She also serves as Chair of The Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) Foundation.

Prior to joining Oxygen, Ms. Gersh had more than 15 years of experience in creating strong corporate partnerships, negotiating financing and other strategic relationships. Ms. Gersh founded the New York law firm Friedman Kaplan & Seiler LLP where she served as a founding partner from 1986 to 1998. During this time the firm grew from 6 lawyers to over 40 serving a wide range of corporate clients in complex corporate transactions and commercial litigation. Ms. Gersh started her legal career at Debevoise & Plimpton.

Admitted to the New York State Bar Association in 1984, Ms. Gersh earned her JD from Rutgers Law School in 1983, where she was an editor of the Computer and Technology Law Journal. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a BA in political science and economics from the State University of New York Binghamton in 1980.

A mother of two, Ms. Gersh is an avid runner, skier, and tennis player.
