Snapped, Oxygen's first half-hour, true crime series from Jupiter Entertainment, the creators of City Confidential, aims to answer this very question. Now in its third season, the show continues to explore the minds of women who kill, but will examine a wider variety of stories and motives including women who struck back in self defense. This new season will reflect on women who have committed crimes to protect their children and themselves. By returning to the scene of the crime Snapped tells these women's stories by interviewing law enforcement individuals, family members and sometimes even the accused murderers themselves.

Snapped has been Oxygen's highest rated reality program to date. The show was created by and is executive produced by Jupiter Entertainment - the production team responsible for Relentless.
