I was happy with how my tattoo came out. It felt alive and vibrant.
There is a definite correlation between music and art and so I understood immediately why we were there when we walked into the recording studio for the Flash Challenge.
When I found out we were doing tribute tattoos of Michael Jackson for this week’s Ink Challenge I was really excited because my husband loves MJ. For my tattoo design I was really inspired by my client. She told me that the first time she saw a Michael Jackson video it changed the way she danced. It changed the way she thought about music. So the iconic picture of Michael seemed perfect. I was happy with how my tattoo came out. It felt alive and vibrant. Having Jermaine Jackson as a guest judge made the challenge even more exciting. It was epic having a relative to the celebrity be a judge.
I wasn’t surprised by any of the judge’s comments or criticisms and I wasn’t surprised I was eliminated this week. I had a blast doing the competition but I love life right now. I’m currently living and working in Jacksonville, NC. I just bought a house, got a puppy, lost over 30 pounds and I spend my days off with friends at the beach. Home is the best place for me.
