It's March Madness: 9 College Basketball Players With Best Ink

It's that time of the year again: March Madness, when college basketball hits the pinnacle and all your colleagues start filling out brackets and betting money on the hush hush. Gambling is not allowed at the Oxygen offices, but we can honor this major sporting event "Best Ink 2"-style with a list of 9 Tatted Up College Basketball Players. (Because, you know, everyone is getting tattoos these days.)

All eyes will be on this point guard during the NCAA tournament. (He was just named Big Ten player of the year, after all.) But our eyes will be on his single shoulder tat that shows a set of cupped hands holding an owl with the script "Proverbs 3:13" above it. You can see the tip of a chest tattoo wing pointing out of his jersey, too.

Chris Babb, Iowa State

This Cyclones guard has a plethora of tattoos and we're very curious about the meaning behind each one. With the power of a Photoshop zoom, we managed to pinpoint this "Best of Both Worlds" tat he has on his forearm.

Peyton Siva, Jr., University of Louisville

It's too bad those arm cozies (or whatever the actual athletic term is for those things) cover up a lot of the players' ink on the court. But for this Cardinals' point guard, we could make out the "Philippians 4:13" script on his right forearm, with the word "Faith" below. The Seattle-bred Siva also has the area code "206" on his left shoulder with a tattoo of his hometown skyline below. Who needs a picture when you have a tat?

Carl Hall, Wichita State

The forward is also fond of body ink, with the go-to roses on one arm and what looks to be bats (?) or clouds (?) on the other. Need more details on the backstory of those, but you can't miss the gigantic "Determination" etched onto his right tricep (ouch). And since the pressure's on for him to lead the Shockers to a title, he better focus on that message.

Julian Gamble, University of Miami

The Miami Hurricanes forward/center has a boatload of tats, including this awesome sleeve on his right arm. After going through multiple surgeries on his left leg, he inked the word "Perseverence" on it right before his final season with the college team.

Tyler Lamb, Long Beach State

Based on this Los Angeles Angels cap inked on his left arm, we have a guess on where this shooting guard wants to go next.

K.J. McDaniels, Clemson University

This inked up forward is a sentimental guy. Inspired by his mom who always encouraged him with the phrase, "The Sky's the Limit," he tattooed the mantra on his arm as a permanent reminder.

Bo Spencer, University of Nebraska-Lincoln

The Huskers guard has a super intricate sleeve on his right arm that reportedly resembles a planetarium. We'd need to get a much closer look at the tat, but that might be kinda hard when he's flying up in the air like that. Damn, the kid can jump!

Korie Lucious, Iowa State

There isn't a lot of info on the interwebs about this Iowa State guard's multiple arm tats. They're cool to look at though and we're glad he's not covering them up with that ... seriously, what is that thing called?

Best of luck to everyone this weekend and beyond!
