Aaron Hernandez’ Sexuality Probed As Murder Motive

The football star left a note to his alleged prison lover before committing suicide. He also left notes to his fiancé and 4-year-old daughter.

Aaron Hernandez left behind a lot of mysteries when he hung himself by wrapping his bed sheet around his neck and tying one end to a bar on his window cell. One of the mysteries is why Hernandez shot his friend Odin Lloyd, who was a semipro football player that was dating Hernandez’s finance’s sister.

According to Newsweek, one possible motive the police have explored is that Lloyd had information that Hernandez was bisexual — and he didn’t want this getting out. After the murder, authorities interviewed a man who had allegedly had a longtime sexual relationship with the football star. That man was forced to testify in front of a grand jury.

Additionally, Newsweek reports that multiple law enforcement sources have confirmed that Hernandez left a note to his prison boyfriend before committing suicide. The Daily Mail says that two other notes were left behind: One to his fiancé and another to his 4-year-old daughter.

UPDATE: Aaron Hernandez's lawyer, Jose Baez, denies that the football star left a letter for a gay lover in prison. In a statement to TMZ Sports, Baez said: “Rumors of letters to a gay lover, in or out of prison, are false. These are malicious leaks used to tarnish somebody who is dead."
