Actor Tom Hardy Went Into 'Superhero Mode' When Chasing Down Real-Life Thief

The Mad Max: Fury Road star has a wild chase in London.

Life imitated art when English actor Tom Hardy helped catch a real-life thief. The onscreen villian had a wild chase through the streets of London and caught a suspected moped burglar.

According to The Sun, a witness says that Hardy chased the thief—who hit a car after running a red light— through gardens and across a building site. He flew through the air and apparently declared,  “I caught the ****" upon catching the suspect.

The 39-year-old actor, seen in Taboo and Mad Max: Fury Road, apprehended his target like he would in the movies; he caught him by the scruff of the neck and then pat him down for weapons.

“It was mental – like he’d switched to superhero mode in an action movie," shared the witness. “Tom must have been walking down the road. He went off like a shot in pursuit and looked furious. If the kid had been dumb enough to resist I reckon Tom would have given him a good hiding.”

Sounds like the plot to Hardy's next movie.
