Anti-Gay Activist Pushing For 20% Porn Tax On Phones And Computers

“I don’t give a damn about what anybody thinks about me."

Chris Sevier, an anti-gay activist who has attempted to marry his computer (twice!) in a ploy to discredit homosexual partnerships, is now pushing for a 20 percent tax on phones and computers that do not have all porn sites blocked permanently. The Daily Beast has published an extensive profile on Sevier, which explains his bizarre history and new anti-porn proposal.

In the past, Sevier had claimed that if same-sex couples “have the right to marry their object of sexual desire… then I should have the right to marry my preferred sexual object,” which in this case was his porn-filled computer. Before that, Sevier had attempted to sue Apple for not pre-installing porn blockers, which led him to a porn addiction and a divorce from his wife.

Unsurprisingly, these anti-porn policies were seriously considered in Alabama and North Carolina, in which lawmakers were sympathetic to Sevier's pleas and attempted to “block child pornography, obscene material, sexual cyber-harassment and promotions of prostitution."

“The notion that you have to jump through some hoops as an adult to access free information on the internet violates the First Amendment,” said legal director Randall Marshall, “This is censorship, plain and simple.”

And even more unsurprisingly, Sevier has a criminal record of his own. In 2013, he was charged with stalking country star John Rich and had also violated restraining orders put against him by his ex-wife following an altercation with her father. He had perviously failed to pay child support and injured his 7-month-old in an altercation during which he attempted to take the child from his former partner.

Sevier claims his criminal record is "fake" and that he is the target of persecution because of his Christian beliefs. “I don’t give a damn about what anybody thinks about me ... I know all about what fake news is. I know all about how courts can be abused.”
