Army Vet Accused Of Killing Her Dog Found Dead

Last month, Marinna Rollins and her boyfriend were charged with animal cruelty after authorities claim they tied her dog to a tree and shot it multiple times with a rifle while laughing. 

After being accused of shooting and killing her service dog, a young Army vet was found dead on Sunday. According to ABC 1123-year-old Marinna Rollins of Fayetteville, North Carolina was found dead in her apartment by friends. Police are investigating the death as a suicide.

Last month, Rollins and her boyfriend, 25-year-old Jarren Heng, were charged with animal cruelty after authorities claim they tied her dog to a tree and shot it multiple times with a rifle.

They recorded the ordeal and per Cumberland County District Attorney Clark Reaves, they could be heard laughing on the video. The Fayetteville Observer adds that the dog was a service dog that Rollins apparently needed to treat PTSD.

According to ABC 11, Rollins retired from the Army for medical reasons, per court docs.
