Daniele Watts — an actress most known for her role in Django Unchained — made headlines last year when she was busted by the cops for having sex with her boyfriend inside of a parked car in broad daylight. Former LAPD Sergeant Jim Parker leaked audio of the encounter to TMZ, and Watts faced a ton of backlash for her fervent claims that she'd been racially profiled.
Now, over a year later, Parker is facing backlash of his own at the hands of the L.A. Ethics Commission, TMZ reports. The Commission ruled yesterday that Parker acted unethically and broke city rules when he released audio of Watts's arrest to the public. By doing so, he shared confidential info related to the case, and now he'll have to pay a fine of $500 — a slap on the wrist, considering that he was looking at a maximum fine of $10k.
