Fugutive Found Hiding In 10-Year-Old Girl's Closet
“Don’t be scared, little girl,” he said before she started screaming for help.
Bad news for the children of America: there are things that go bump in the night, such as wanted criminals hiding out in your bedroom. 10-year-old Presley Brown of Ardmore, Oklahoma was texting with her friends in the bathroom when she noticed the reflection of scruffy looking man inside her closet. “Don’t be scared, little girl,” he said before she started screaming for help.
Fortunately for Presley, both her parents were home at the time. “My husband came around the corner and they tussled around,” Presley’s mother Monica told KXII, but the intruder ran off. The Browns called the police and it turned out the man was Race Cox, 26, who was already hiding from the police after they tried to serve a warrant on him for two felonies.
Cox was later spotted by police riding in a car last Tuesday morning, and taken into custody. The Browns are just happy to have the incident behind them, with Presley adding, “I hope no other men come in my closet.” Cox was charged with burglary and escape from arrest, on top of his pre-existing felonies.
