The voting data of nearly 200 million voters has been put at risk following what's being called the "largest ever" voter records leak.
According to ZDNet, databases with personal information and voting data for millions of registered voters was exposed after being put on an unsecured Amazon server.
The site shares that 198 million records—of voters from all parties—was found on a server owned by Republican data analytics firm, Deep Root Analytics.
Following the discovery by cyber risk analyst Chris Vickery on June 12, the server was secured last week.
In total, 1.1 terabytes of data was fully downloadable.
As CNET shares, the data featured information going back more than a decade for every registered US voter.
