Photo Surfaces Of 15-Year-Old Elizabeth Thomas & Teacher Who Allegedly Abducted Her

Breaking news in missing teen case.

It's been one week since an AMBER Alert was put out for 15-year-old Elizabeth Thomas in Maury County, Tennesee. Yesterday, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) released a photo of Thomas with 50-year-old Tad Cummins, her former high school teacher and alleged abductor.

Thomas disappeared on the morning of Monday, March 13th after dropping a friend off in Columbia, Tennessee. Authorities believe she was kidnapped by Cummins, a former teacher at her school. The school district fired Cummins following an investigation that the two had alleged inappropriate contact. This new photo was allegedly taken just two days before the inappropriate incident.

The news story of Thomas' disappearance is ongoing. As the TBI shares, investigators have discovered strange actions by Cummins that seem to point to his involvement in the crime. On March 10th, he reportedly did an online search about his car, a Nissan Rogue, to see if it had features that could be traced by the law. On March 5th, he allegedly did a search on teen marriage.

Authorities throughout Tennessee are actively tracking down leads. Cummins, who is believed to be armed with two handguns, has a warrant out in his name for Sexual Contact with a Minor and Aggravated Kidnapping. He was added to the ‘Top 10 Most Wanted’ list on Friday.
