Pizza Deliveryman Writes 4-Page Threatening Letter To Rob Woman Who Didn’t Tip Him

"I’m probably gonna rob you,” the letter says.

A Postmates deliveryman upset that he didn’t get a tip on a pizza delivery allegedly gave a disturbing four-page note to the woman who placed the order, in which he threatened to rob her, The San Diego Union Tribute reported.

The woman who received the letter, Lauren Ledford, posted the final two pages of the note online.

“I nailed down who the driver is and have reported it to the police as well as @postmates , which has not called me or addressed this at all,” Ledford wrote in her post. “I am putting this out there only because I want everyone to be aware of the fact that apparently this company doesn't respect a privacy policy and employs people who are openly on drugs, returning to costumers homes a week later threatening to rob them over a $4 tip, which I thought was included in the outrageous delivery charges that this company tacks on to orders.”

Ledford said that police are now looking into the case.

The letter says that if this woman orders from Postmates and doesn’t tip again, he will rob her.

“[I]f it turns out that delivery driver is me again, and you do not tip yet again, I’m probably gonna rob you,” the letter says. “I’m only joking, but not really. Don’t risk it though. Who knows what a disgruntled delivery driver who can’t afford to eat that day is capable of.”

The letter also calls her a “Jew” in the “cheap/frugal sense” and says he needs the job to stay high.

“If I had big tits and a nice ass I’d just whip out my tits and/or shake my booty and get all the free drugs I could ever want,” he bemoans.

Postmates said that it is cooperating with police.

“Harassment of any kind is not tolerated on the Postmates platform and we are sincerely sorry for this customer’s experience,” it said in a statement. “Immediately after being notified of this incident last week we removed the independent contractor from the platform.”
