Kelly on Brooklyn 11223 101: I love Brooklyn because were all like a family.
I have known Joey Lynn for about 4 years or so. I met her back when she worked at Old Gallery Bar on McDonald Avenue. I have known Christie only for about a year, I met her through Angelina. Even though I’ve known Joey Lynn longer, I believed Christie over Joey Lynn because in this neighborhood, you hear some crazy stories. I’ve heard lots of stories about Joey Lynn that made me know she did it. Carla used to be friends with Joey Lynn as well. She took Christie side because it was the right thing to do. Carla is a very loyal friend. She had to ask herself that if this is what Joey Lynn could do to Christie, imagine what she could do to her.
If someone is like your best friend, your family, you don't screw them over like that just for some guy. Christie looked at Joey Lynn like she was her sister so for Joey Lynn to turn around and completely disrespect her, that's just not something you get over. I think they should talk it out but I know that Joey Lynn is never going to tell the truth because of the way it would make her look. It’s pointless for Christie to even deal with her, but I know it’s hard to move on from this drama. We all live so close together so they run into each other all the time. It’s hard to get past something if that person is always in your face.
I love Brooklyn because we’re all like a family. We’re straight-forward, tough people and you'll never find anyone else like A Brooklyn girl or guy anywhere. We are one of a kind. That being said, the downside to Brooklyn is that everyone knows everybody so there are always too many people in your business that love to start drama just because they’re bored.
I am a very loud, outgoing, straight-forward person. I have no filter and I don't make apologies for that. All of my girlfriends are like that. We like to have fun and have a good time, but we’re always there for each other and will jump in a second to defend one another. If you mess with one of us, you mess with all of us. We’re loyal to one another and that’s how it should be.
