17-Year-Old Missing Soccer Player Caught On Surveillance With Coach, May Be Heading To Northeast

Police released photographs that capture Caitlyn Frisina, 17, and Rian Rodriguez, 27, at multiple locations on Sunday

Officials now say that the missing teen soccer player from Columbia County, Florida who allegedly ran off with her school’s head boys soccer coach may be heading to the Northeast. Police released photographs that capture Caitlyn Frisina, 17, and Rian Rodriguez, 27, at multiple locations on Sunday: two gas stations in Georgia and South Carolina in addition to a North Carolina pawn shop, according to Fox News.

Frisina, an avid girls soccer player, was last seen on Saturday evening at her home. She met up with Rodriguez before she went missing. She reportedly erased all data on her cell phone beforehand. Police told News 4 Jax that the missing teen’s bedroom window found open. She is believed to have run away on her own accord.

Regardless of how she ended up with the coach, Frisina’s dad has called their interactions inappropriate. Police told ABC News that officials believe that there is a"blossoming of a potential relationship" between them. And, Rodriguez is no stranger to the family. Frisina’s mother called him a long-time family friend.

Frisina’s vanishing has left her family and her boyfriend absolutely stunned. Just last week, her boyfriend attended Thanksgiving dinner at her family’s home.

“We love you and we miss you, and we’re waiting here with open arms” Frisina’s mom pleaded with her daughter during a Wednesday press conference.

Rodriguez’s coaching job at Fort White High School has been suspended, pending an investigation.
