4 Disturbing Instagram Posts By The Father And Daughter Who Had A Baby And Planned To Marry

Upon first glance, it looks like your typical family - but the father's estranged wife (also the daughter's mom) wasn't so happy.

A man from Richmond, Virginia and his biological daughter allegedly had a baby together and planned a wedding. According to NBC 4, Steven Walter Pladl and his wife gave birth to Katie Rose Pladl in 1998. She was adopted by another family and lived out of state. On her 18th birthday, she contacted Steven and her mother in hopes to reconnect with her biological family. Within months, the two began allegedly engaging in incest. Steven allegedly admitted to impregnating their daughter, according to police records.

He also allegedly told police that he and Katie wanted to get married, AJC reports. In November both Katie, 20,  and Steven, 42 were arrested. Both were given a $1 million dollar bond. Steven and Katie were charged with incest with adult, adultery, and contributing to delinquency. It is unclear if they have lawyers who can speak on their behalf yet. Katie’s Instagram is still up, and it features photographs of the pair posing as a happy family. Here are four of those posts.

3. When she calls out her mom

In this Instagram post, Katie hints her mom will be looking at her Instagram regularly. Just months after Katie reconnected with her biological parents, they became seperated. Before the couple’s separation, Katie's mother snooped and read a diary belonging to one of her other two children, which revealed that Katie was pregnant. Steven allegedly urged his other children to call Katie their stepmom.
