3 Men Accused Of Brutally Slaying Texas Couple Execution-Style Held Without Bond

"They just made sure we had every opportunity to realize our dreams," said the victims' son of his parents.

Three men have been arrested in connection with the heinous murder of a couple who police say were executed in their own home, located inside a Houston-area gated community.

Khari Kendrick, 23, Aakiel Kendrick, 21, and Erick Peralta, 20, were arraigned on Thursday. According to the Houston Chronicle, they are all being held without bail. Khari allegedly confessed to the murders, implicating his two friends in the double-murder.

All have been charged with capital murder for the death of Bao and Jenny Lam, both 61. They are currently being detained on no bond. It is unclear if they have made additional statements at this time.

The couple were bound by their hands and feet and shot to death last week. The Harris County Sheriff's Office stated that the Lams “were ambushed by suspects as they parked their car in the garage.” The suspects allegedly also burglarized the couple’s $800,000 home. Firearms and valuables were stolen.

Authorities discovered their bodies on Saturday after the couple's son requested a welfare check.

"They were executed," Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez stated.

Surveillance footage from the entry gate of the home’s subdivision was released by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office earlier this week. It showed two men driving in a black Lincoln Navigator. A suspect parked, then crawled under the gate. Less than 24 hours after the footage was released to the public, the three suspects were brought into custody.

The victims' daughter, Michelle Lam, told ABC News, "We miss them so much. They were just going home from having dinner."

Michelle’s brother Richard Lam, a military officer, referred to his parents as his "personal superheroes." During a press conference, he described how hard his mother and father worked. The Lams immigrated to the United States in the 1970s. Richard said that his parents often worked several jobs at once to make a better life for themselves.

"They just made sure we had every opportunity to realize our dreams," Richard said.

Gonzalez stated, “I want to thank the Harris County community for helping our dedicated investigators bring justice to the Lam family and get these dangerous criminals off our streets. We join the Lam family in grieving our entire community’s loss.”
