Patriots Star Rob Gronkowski Calls 911 Day After Super Bowl: 'My Whole House Got Robbed'

The tight end went through two losses this week.

New England Patriots star Rob Gronkowski’s home in Foxboro, Massachusetts, was robbed while he was playing in the Super Bowl in Minnesota. Upon his return, he noticed that items were stolen, and he calmly called the police, stating that it wasn’t an emergency.

"This is Rob Gronkowski calling and while I was gone, my whole house got robbed, while on the Super Bowl trip, and I just got back," he said, on the call released by Foxboro Police.

According to CBS Boston, three guns were stolen in addition to other pieces of property.

"There were items stolen," Foxboro Police Chief William Baker told reporters on Tuesday, one day after police were called to the house. "We're not going to release the nature of the items stolen. [...] Obviously, the people who committed the theft know what was stolen. It's an investigative advantage for us to know that as well and not share it with the public, so I won't have any further comment on that.”

A window was found broken at the home. Police do not believe that any other homes in the neighborhood were burglarized, leading some to believe that Gronkowski may have been targeted because it was clear he was out of town.

"I think it's kind of a tough combination to have suffered this unfortunate [Super Bowl] loss and then to get home and be a victim of this kind of crime which is, as I say, really has a profound effect on everybody who's a victim of this crime when your personal space is breached like that,” Baker said, according to CBS Boston.

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell’s response to Gronkowski’s home being burglarized?

“Gronk, go get some security,” Bell told TMZ. “You’re too big to be getting robbed.”
