Why Has Porn Star Stormy Daniels’ Instagram Account Been Shut Down?

“There wasn't anything profound on it,” noted a rep for Daniels, who recently performed a show called "Make America Horny Again."

President Donald Trump has found himself embroiled in yet another scandal pertaining to his alleged sexual behavior. According to The Wall Street Journal, Trump's lawyer, Michael Cohen, had paid adult entertainer Stormy Daniels $130,000 dollars to keep her quiet about an alleged 2006 affair shortly before the election cycle began. CNN later reported that Fox News had prepared a story on the subject but had ditched it for unexplained reasons. Now, amidst the attention being paid to the situation by the entire world, Daniels has disappeared off of Instagram.

A recently published interview with Daniels conducted by In Touch in 2011 revealed a handful of details about the alleged affair, including the President's bizarre fear of sharks.

"Whether you’re a fan of his or not, which I never really was, you gotta admit he’s pretty fascinating," said Daniels in the interview. "He told me to come up to meet him in his room. He told me his room number and whatnot ... He was very full of himself, like he was trying to impress me or something."

On Monday, Daniels' Instagram account "went dark," according to the New York Daily News. Those within Daniels' team are not quite sure what happened: “We don’t know why it was deleted. We’re not sure if Instagram deleted it or if it was hacked and deleted,” said representative Gina Rodriguez.

“There wasn't anything profound on it,” she added.

Instagram has not yet responded to the situation with a comment.

It wouldn't be hard to jump to conclusions about the government being somehow involvement with the vanished account, but an error or glitch certainly seems more likely.

TMZ adds that Daniels' reps noted that the account contained no nudity or profanity that would have lead to it being taken down due to the site's community standards.

Meanwhile, Stormy's national tour continues. She recently celebrated the one year anniversary of Trump's inauguration at a South Carolina strip club with a performance dubbed "Make America Horny Again."
