My goal weight is 140 pounds.

My mom convinced me to try out for DYAO. She encouraged me and told me that I could do it. When I thought about it, I said to myself, this was my second chance and I was not going to let anything or anyone stand in the way. Also I want to give a shout out to my dance teacher Carolyn of the Watson Johnson Dance Theater in Ewing NJ, where it all started for me at age 10. She believed in me then and even when I got to my heaviest weight of 250 pounds "almost two years ago." She brought me back as a teacher in her studio, September 2008 and that is truly what saved my life. Thank you Mom and Mrs. Carol.

I thought that the medical evaluation was very long and some of the tests were very weird, but overall they were all needed to evaluate our state of health.

I was overwhelmed and truly excited that out of thousands of people, I was chosen to go on this life-changing journey that would help me get my life back on track.

My main goal is to become Season 2 DYAO Champion, and open my dance studio. Also, it is to reach my goal weight of 140 pounds and hopefully get the chance to dance professionally.

What makes me unique is the fact that I'm always myself, and there is nothing fake about me. What you see is what you get. I'm real and that is very uncommon for some people. So is my drive for dance and how this time around I plan to let no one stand in my way of sharing my gift of dance with the world.

What you can expect to see from me this season is a lost soul finding herself and burning up the dance floor through all the drama.
