Together, we are a force to be reckoned with.
When we entered the rumba room, I was amazed. I just looked at all the dancers and thought, “ want to do that.” They were spinning and flipping, and I just thought, “Wow.” I was excited to see what was in store for us, especially when I saw Mel B come through the middle.
When we were told to pick a partner, I immediately picked Adamme. The reason I choose him is because from day one we said that if we got to pick a partner that we had to dance together. Plus he is my husband and best friend in this house—who else would I pick?
I was so sad when Adamme had to go to the doctor, I cried so hard. I didn’t know what to think. I just prayed for his health and his return. I was not worried about him returning because I knew that he was strong and plus I prayed for him so I had faith that he would be ok. I just kept hoping that he would not be taken out of the competition, because I knew how bad we both wanted this.
When Adamme came back to perform, I was excited because I knew that we were getting ready to give a wonderful performance. We were strong on our own but together, we are a force to be reckoned with. I loved our salsa routine. I had Paul as a partner and this was his specialty. Adamme had Vai, and she is amazing. Adamme was a salsa machine, and growing up I loved to go to my friends’ family functions and watch them salsa. So I was excited to even have salsa as our dance category. Paul pushed me to new heights and I loved the routine. When we performed it for the judges, we were very much in sync and gave them a show to remember.
