GQ on Episode 2: Hands Tied, Camera Ready
I had no idea what I was going to do for this week’s Check Up from the Neck Up! I really was thrown off of the materials I got. I love working with ponytails but with this challenge I froze on ideas! I made the best of it! My piece worked out alright.
I wasn't upset that I didn't win. I was relieved I wasn't in the bottom two. If I put more planning into what I was doing, I'm sure I could have had a better shot at winning!
When Blondie put me up against Mz. H2O I wasn't sure how the outcome would turn out. Seems like all the experience she has could bite me in the a**. I not going to be intimidated by her. I'll give her a run for her money...eh!
I was excited about the Glam Slam Challenge. The idea of a barber being in the same playing field of stylists to showcase my work in a magazine is amazing! For this week’s Glam Slam challenge, I used a concept I did on a previous model back home. Jenn Bunny has a small head of hair (a line bob to be exact). What I did was create a huge headpiece making it look like her own hair. It was more couture/ glam. So I want to recreate a piece but doing it bigger and times ten! Something I can see in a high fashion magazine! Very fantasy for the viewers!

I was upset when I was named a Hair Don't! I did my best on my piece and it all came together. I hope the audience enjoyed it! Taylor told me she didn't like my wardrobe. I'm so glad it's a hair show and not a clothing completion! Mz. H2O put a lot of effort and skill into her piece but if the audience compares the two, my model would be a much better fit for magazine print.

J9's piece and overall look was amazing. It was both couture and fantasy. I was really sad when Dimples was eliminated. She was so much fun to work side by side with. She has a lot to bring to the table. She taught me a little thing or two in this episode. I'm glad it wasn't me.
