The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency
I've changed from the beginning of the season to now. I am a much stronger woman, and more confident. By being on the show I was able to let a lot off my chest. I was finally able to let Janice know exactly how I feel about how it would mean so much, or change the way the world eventually looks at plus size models if she was willing to endorse plus size models.
Although I don’t want to admit it, I actually learned something from Janice. From Janice I learned that you can’t teach an old dog new tricks. If a person is stuck in their own ways, sometimes it takes a miracle to change that person's ways, or the way that person thinks.
The only thing that I have to thank Janice for is... "Thanks for confirming how ignorant you are when it comes to plus size modeling." However, I would like to give a BIG THANKS to Janice's son, Nathan, for supporting us plus size models, and attempting to make us a part of the Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency. Nathan, if you do ever decide to venture on your own, and start your own modeling agency, please look me up.
Since the show I have become a well known plus size model. Business has picked up. I am now signed to an agency that supports, celebrates, and appreciates the beauty of a plus size model. In addition, I just received an offer to be the face/spokesmodel of a new plus size clothing line.
Also, when I am not modeling, I am a motivational speaker. I travel to different schools and events spreading the word to women and men of all ages, sizes, and races that, "Society plays a very important role in shaping our attitudes about beauty, how we are looked at, and judged by others, and ultimately, how we look at and judge ourselves. People as a whole are all beautiful in their own unique ways. Our size, skinny or big, should not determine our beauty."
Lastly, I would like to give a shout out to my plus size women!!! Plus size women -- we are here, and we are not going anywhere. So, it is time for society to accept us, and stop drawing a line separating us from "skinny" women. Skinny models are overrated, and plus size models are underestimated!!!!
