Abigail Clancy
At only 22 years of age, Abigail Clancy has already carved out a hugely successful career in both modelling and television and 2008 promises to be an even bigger year still for the Liverpudlian beauty.
Abbey first burst into the public conscience in 2004, when she became the runner up in Living TV's hit series Britain's Next Top Model. As well as being coached in modelling by the likes of Lisa Snowdon and Jerry Hall, the series enabled Abbey to work with some of the world's top fashion photographers and magazines.
Following on the from the success of her stint in the series, Living TV were quick to sign Abbey up for her own series, namely Abbey & Janice: Beauty & The Best. This series aired in the UK in spring 2007 and followed Abbey through various travails as she was tutored by the world's first supermodel, Janice Dickinson, to make it in the US modelling world. The six part series was filmed both in the UK and the US and led to Abbey being offered contracts by some of America's top model agencies.
Following on from this series, autumn 2007 saw Abbey enrol in ITV1's primetime reality series, Hell's Kitchen. With Marco Pierre White teaching the contestants the art of cordon bleu cooking, Abbey proved a huge hit in the series, winning over both viewers and the UK media alike.
As well as her TV work, Abbey has continued to model, appearing in magazines from Grazia and InStyle to GQ, Arena and FHM and her 2008 calendar has become one of the fastest selling of the year.
Having already achieved so much in so few years, 2008 is already promising to be Abbey's most successful year yet…
