When It Comes To Nail Art, "Less Is More!"

This week on Nail’d It, we learned a very important lesson: Less is More! According to Wiktionary, the phrase means: “That which is less complicated is often better understood and more appreciated than what is more complicated; simplicity is preferable to complexity; brevity in communication is more effective than verbosity.” In nail art, and really all forms of communication, doing less but doing it well is always better. Sometimes adding too much to a work of art indicates a lack of clear thought or direction to begin with. As a result, you keep adding more to fix it. This is also similar to the concept of “a picture says a thousand words” – keep it simple! Chris #NailedIt tonight because of his clean choices, beautiful color palette and restraint communicated volumes, not only making him a champion, but also a model of the “less is more” principle!
