Wayne Chaney: "I Am Now the Man That I Looked Up to in Childhood"
All of the pastors in Preachers of L.A. walked a long, windy road to get to where they are today. Pastor Wayne Chaney is no exception. Since he was three years old, his grandfather always said Wayne was destined to preach. The rebellious kid didn't want to hear it at first, sneaking into R-rated movies to prove his grandfather wrong. In this video, Chaney talks about how he eventually came full circle and became the man he always looked up to as a kid. "We would walk a country mile to church every Sunday...our pastor was a great man," he recalls. "I remember seeing a single mother taking her children from her car, and walking a country mile to come hear me. That moment was extremely special for me." Watch the video!
Tune into the premiere of 'Preachers of L.A.' October 9 at 10/9c!
