Interview: Coco Rocha Wants Hugh Jackman's Role In Les Mis
We all know that Coco Rocha is a talented arts and culture buff—she was discovered at an Irish dance competition and famously jigged down the Paris Fashion Week runway for a Jean Paul Gaultier Scottish Highlands-inspired show. So when we asked her the kinda tabloid-y question of "who's your celebrity crush," she came back with with a decidedly more high-brow response.
"The entire cast of Les Misérables makes me swoon," Coco told us. "I was so very impressed with how much heart and soul they put in the movie. I've said a few times that it's probably the most epic film of the last decade. If I could, I would've done anything to be in that production."
So obviously, the follow up question is: Who would you play? We were thinking maybe Cosette because she could have brought in her dance moves to the wedding banquet scene and she and Marius could have waltzed off into the sunset. Or maybe the scrappy and doomed Eponine because we know Coco looks amazing in revolutionary military-inspired jackets. And they're both girls, but ...
"If they ever did a version of Les Mis with genders roles switched I'd love to play Jean Valjean," Coco stated. "He is a very complex and complicated character and I think 'Who am I?' is one of the most epic moments in music."
