10 Pairs Of Celebs Who Used To Be Besties

These celebrities dropped the last F on BFF.

The whole point of a BFF is for them to last forever. That's why you tell them all your secrets and inner truths: you trust it'll never come back to bite you in the ass. Unfortunately, it doesn't always end up that way, and many times a BFF breakup can be more painful than an SO one.

Here are 10 pairs of celebrity ex-best friends who can relate.

1. Kim Kardashian and Blac Chyna

When you have to choose between your family and your BFF, you know you're in for a world of hurt. And that's exactly what Kim K had to do when her younger sibling Kylie infamously started dating Chyna's ex and baby father Tyga. It caused such a rift that the two were damn near sworn enemies up until recently, when Chyna began dating Kim's brother Robert. Now that Chyna is pregnant, it'll be interesting to see if the two can rekindle their friendship -- especially since Kylie and Tyga are reportedly done for good. So now, they're BFFs AND family!

2. Rihanna and Katy Perry

These two seemed to have reignited a bit of their flame last year, but they're not nearly as close as they used to be. The falling out reportedly began around the time Rihanna was flirting with the possibility of getting back together with Chris Brown (a few years after the domestic violence case), and Katy apparently was not one to stand around and pretend she approved of the ordeal.

3. Jay Z and Dame Dash

Money is the number one cause of ruined marriages, so it only makes sense that it would be the same for friendships that mix business and pleasure, too. During the 90s, Shawn 'Jay Z' Carter and Dame Dash (as well as Kareem "Biggs" Burke) came up with the idea of creating their own brand and pushing their own music, since no one else would give them a chance. What ended up happening was hip-hop history. From Roc-A-Fella Records to Roc-A-Wear, they became the biggest names in music and urban fashion, as well as respected businessmen. But the falling out was harsh. The cause of the feud remains unknown, although it's been speculated that it was due to Dame's big ego/boasting personality, opposite ideas about the future of the brand, and - quite possibly - Aaliyah? Whatever the case, the brand split - unfairly,if you ask Dame - and the two have gone their separate ways...forever. They've only been seen publicly approximately twice in the past 15 years total. And Dame still isn't over it. Maybe he never will be.

4. Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton

After finding worldwide fame on their ditsy-girl Fox TV hit show The Simple Life, the two born rich girls had a major falling out that they never quite seemed to recover from. They were in the spotlight for years side-by-side, then one day they began appearing everywhere solo dolo. The rumor mill began to turn. Turns out that the gossip elites were right this time. Hilton spoke on the situation one time only: "It’s no big secret that Nicole and I are no longer friends. Nicole knows what she did, and that’s all I’m ever going to say about it." The thing that "she did" was reportedly show one of Paris' sex tapes to a group of friends at a party. Yikes! The two have since made amends - according to Richie - although they rarely keep in touch.

5. Lauren Conrad and Heidi Montag

These two babes had a major falling out, and luckily for us, it mostly went down on the hit reality show, The Hills. Montag, who was dating her now-husband Spencer Pratt at the time, eventually ended up between a rock and a hard place when her BFF Lauren Conrad admitted that she couldn't stand the "sucky" man. To be fair, no one else watching the show could either, and we all continued to watch anyway. But you know how friendships go; ultimately, Heidi had to choose one over the other and she ultimately chose a life with her fantastically charming asshole of a man. Then Montag reportedly spreading sex tape rumors about Conrad, and you can imagine it all went downhill from there. “I want to forgive you and I want to forget you," Lauren cried to the befallen friend. So sad.

6. Birdman and Lil Wayne

Lil Wayne and Birdman were so close that they described their friendship moreso in the eyes of father and son than best friends. Since the beginning of Cash Money Records, the two have been close confidantes, colleagues, and music buddies. That's over 20 years of friendship, mind you. Court reports prove that the bad blood between the two had been boiling for some time, with grievances dating a few years back. But 2015 was the year it all came to a head. In January 2015, Lil Wayne released a diss track, soon followed by a major lawsuit for up to $51 million in unpaid dues. It's all so messy that we couldn't even begin to detail it here. Their friendship has had some ups and downs since then, but the last thing Wayne said publicly about the relationship was "F*ck the Birdman," so there's that...

7. Jennifer Lopez and Eva Longoria

These two Latina gals Jennifer Lopez and Eva Longoria were bubbling up a serious friendship. However, in 2010, the two had a falling out when Eva Longoria was seen sitting on Jennifer Lopez's then-husband Marc Anthony's lap in a tabloid. To add fire to the flame, it was reported that Marc Anthony sought out Longoria so he could air his grievances about his broken relationship with the "Ain't Your Mama" singer/actress. A few years later, following J-Lo and Marc's divorce, Lopez was seen out with Longoria's boyfriend on what appeared to be a dinner date (though, it easily could have been for business). Hollywood can be so shady.

8. Taylor Swift and Katy Perry

Taylor Swift may have her super girl squad now, but apparently she doesn't believe everyone's worthy of her friendship. Such is the case with Katy Perry, with whom the starlet had a falling out a little over two years ago-- and it hasn't let up since! In Vanity Fair, Swift dished on the feud in September 2014, saying Katy "did something so horrible... And it wasn’t even about a guy! It had to do with business. She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me.” Then, there was that hit song "Bad Blood" that's so obviously about Perry. And now there's Katy's new perfume which is rumored to a response to the song, called Mad Love. Meow.

9. Kanye West and Rhymefest

Kanye West and Rhymefest's friendship go further back than his debut album College Dropout. The two became friends around the age of 16, when both of them were in their early stages of pursuing music. West approached his future long-time friend and collaborator after taking notice of him as "one of the top rappers in the city," as told by Rhymefest. Having dodged a beatdown for talking about West behind his back, the two quickly became best of friends. That seemed to be the case throughout the growth of Kanye's career: Rhymefest was known as Kanye's co-writer, co-producer, and confidante for years. However, 2016 proved that all things may not last; particularly, this friendship. After rumors of the two having a falling out, Rhymefest took to Twitter and explained, "my brother needs help." West has yet to publicly address the cause of the rift, although there appear to be sprinkles of an explanation in his latest album TLOP.

10. Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian

Kim K and Paris Hilton were once BFFs, even though the now-famous Kardashian was working as an assistant for the billionaire heir. Allegedly, jealousy was the culprit of this friendship's end. It has been reported that Paris Hilton, who was on a steady decline in popularity at the time, became overwhelmed with Kim's success once the reality show Keeping Up With The Kardashians catapulted her to a new level of fame. Many jabs were thrown on-screen. After you publicly brand someone "not hot" and call them a "hoe" on national television, you can bet there's really no salvaging.
