In case you missed it, 2 Chainz and Nicki teamed up to record a track together recently, and Nicki's verse contains a few shots at her rival.
"Papoose wrote the 'ETHER' record, but I broke Aretha record," she rapped on "Realize."
All Hip Hop reports that 2 Chainz recently sat down with the Streetz Is Watchin radio show and revealed that the collab — and Nicki's verse — made things a little awkward with Remy, who he was previously cool with.
"We ran up on each other — Papoose and Remy. But it was all good vibes," he explained. "I rock with Remy and Papoose. Me and Remy were talking about doing something before all this happened."
"Papoose dapped me down. She was like, 'I don't rock with Tity Boi no more,'" he continued. "She didn't say it like that. She was like, 'I don't f*ck with him.' She was in my face and I was like, 'I love you though.'"
2 Chainz went on to explain to Remy and Papoose that he's not responsible for what Nicki says during her portion of the song.
"I sent her a song. This is what the song apparently made her say or do," he said. "I originally only asked Nicki for a hook. So for her to do more than a hook, I wasn't gonna come back and say, 'You doing too much.' I was very appreciative of it."
"I told them that I pray that they could come to some kind of resolution, because they're two dope, black women," he added.
