Imagine getting a personal shout-out from one of your favorite celebs. Talk about an easy way to have your day made, right?
Well, 17-year-old Shania Ruedas Bernal got a thumbs up from the pop icon herself, Rihanna, after a photo of her dressed as the singer went viral.
Bernal did her best Rihanna impression for her school's "Celebrity Day," and soon after posting the photo she took while recreating one of Rih's most iconic looks, her pic garnered almost 50,000 likes and over 20,000 retweets.
Instagram account @247papstv reposted the photo a few days later, and Rihanna herself commented, writing, "How she do me betta than me doe?"
When Bernal found out she got Rihanna's seal of approval, she could barely believe it.
"I wanted to walk out of the classroom and scream," she told Buzzfeed. "It was honestly the greatest feeling in the world to be complimented by Rihanna herself."
It's always nice to see celebs showing their fans some love. This could have gone in a completely different direction; remember that time another teenage fan dressed up like Rihanna way back in 2014, and Rih low-key made fun of her on Twitter and all of her fans hopped on and the girl was basically cyberbullied over it?
Yeah, that was messed up. #PromBat #NeverForget
