Amber Rose Brings Beyoncé Into Slut Shaming Debate, Awakens Beyhive

That moment when the Beyhive attacks you even though you never dissed Beyonce and are, in fact, a Beyoncé fan? Priceless.

There are a few steadfast rules of the internet, and one of them is that you don't say anything even slightly negative about Beyoncé unless you feel like getting into a long, drawn out social media war with the legion of super passionate Beyoncé fans known as the Beyhive.

Amber Rose inadvertently awakened it when she bought up their queen bee during a conversation about slut shaming.

"It's bulls**t," Amber told the Daily Beast. "So if we could sing, it would be OK if we were on stage half-naked. We all love Beyoncé, but she's on stage half-naked and twerking all the time, yet people say, 'Oh, she has talent so she's able to do that.' We don’t have the talent that Beyonce has, so we get criticized as former sex workers, but at the end of the day we’re just women — we’re all women — and we should all embrace each other. "

"No one is greater," she continued. "We're all the same. So, to criticize us as incapable of being smart businesswomen because Kim has a reality show and I'm a socialite and we don't sing is stupid. We've both been in movies, and we take our acting, business ventures, and everything else very seriously."

Some fans interpreted that as shade at Beyonce, which prompted the model/author/entrepreneur to respond via Twitter.

Amber's whole point was that because Beyoncé is a pop icon, it's acceptable for her to dress sexy and she can do so without criticism and slut shaming. But as a woman, you shouldn't have to "earn" the right to do what you want with your body; whether you're Beyoncé or not, your body is your own.

Of course, the Beyhive took everything to a whole new level of pettiness, choosing instead to insult Amber for daring to compare herself to Beyoncé in any way. Who has time to see reason though when there's a blind rage to fly into? The Beyhive strikes again.
