No one does it big like Beyonce does.
The Lemonade singer turned 36 earlier this week, and celebrated her big day at the Made in America festival in Philadelphia on Sunday. Not only did the entire crowd serenade her, but her birthday celebration included a glam AF birthday cake.
According to Page Six, Bey's black-and-gold geode cake cost an astonishing $3,500.
The Cake Life Bake Shop in Philly were tasked with creating the cake for Beyonce's big day. Co-owners Lily Fischer and Nima Etemadi told Philly Mag that they didn't even know it was for Beyonce at first; they received a mysterious request for a black and yellow cake with a geode theme, and eventually traced the request to Beyonce's team.
"It was pretty amazing," Fischer said. "Everyone here knows that I love Beyonce ... pretty much the whole week we just blasted Beyonce."
The shop's geode cakes, which take two days to make, start at "$3,500 and go up in price depending on detail, complexity, and size." Bey's three-tiered, honey lavender-flavored cake featured edible sugar crystals and was topped with a golden crown reminiscent of the one Bey wore for her 2017 Grammys performance. Also included in the order were cookies shaped like beehives and crowns.
The Cake Life Bake Shop is still waiting to hear feedback from Beyonce and her team, but if the pictures are anything to go by, I'm willing to bet the review will be flawless.
