Kendall and Kylie Jenner are getting dragged on social media for defacing T-shirts featuring well-loved artists like Tupac Shakur and Biggie Smalls and adding their initials and Instagram pics — yes, Instagram pics — to the iconic images. The "vintage" shirts are being sold for $125 each as part of the Kendall + Kylie "Rock vs. Rap" capsule collection.
Biggie's mother Voletta Wallace spoke out against the shirts on social media earlier today, The Shade Room reports.
"I am not sure who told @kyliejenner and @kendalljenner that they had the right to do this. The disrespect of these girls to not even reach out to me or anyone connected to the estate baffles me," she wrote on Instagram. "I have no idea why they feel they can exploit the deaths of 2pac and my Son Christopher to sell a t-shirt. This is disrespectful, disgusting, and exploitation at its worst!!!"
The shirts have since been removed from the site (either that, or they've sold out); photos of the shirts have also been removed from the Kendall + Kylie Instagram page, though neither of the women have directly addressed the backlash.
