Even after his, um, interesting interview on 20/20, Bobby Brown is still full of surprises. In his upcoming memoir, Every Little Step, he's revealing even more aspects of his life with late wife and powerhouse pop singer Whitney Houston and daughter, Bobbi Kristina.
In an excerpt, according to Page Six, Brown claims that Whitney Houston had an affair with the late hip-hop icon Tupac Shakur. He also details his pre-marital endeavors with Madonna and Janet Jackson, and speaks in depth about his years from childhood to the tumultuous times he shared with his high-profile wife.
"But he also pushes back against allegations that he was a corrupting influence on Houston," Page Six reports. "He writes that she was using cocaine before he was and continued to use drugs after he had cleaned up. He contends that she did her 'share of cheating' with 'quite a few of the producers and artists' she worked with, and names one ex-lover, the late Tupac Shakur."
Cissy Houston, Whitney's mother, has been vocally critical of his recent interview with Robin Roberts in which he said that he didn't know Houston used drugs until their wedding day. "No one blames Bobby for [Whitney doing drugs]," Cissy wrote in a statement. "However, I must say that his story of seeing her do drugs for the first time on their wedding day is untrue (Donna Houston, Robyn Crawford and I were with Nippy the whole time before the ceremony), and more importantly, it forever casts a shadow over one of the most important days of her life."
"I am deeply disappointed that this interview to promote the story of Bobby's life seemed to be more of an exposé on Whitney's life. My problem with Bobby has always been that he became her husband but not her helpmate or protector," Cissy said.
To his credit, Brown also confessed to having sex with a ghost. So maybe he's only out here trying to tell his truths, after all - as best as he can recall...
