Caitlyn Jenner Still A Republican, BFF With Arnold Schwarzenegger
"I think I can keep all of my views the same cause I feel in my heart that's the best way to go."
Do you ever see those videos of, like, a dog and a parrot that are best friends? And it's extra cute because they don't really belong together but they totally work? That's kind of what it's like to watch BFFs Caitlyn Jenner and Arnold Schwarzenegger interact. Here's video of the two besties chillin' at an event:
Of course, the two have quite an extensive shared history, considering both were prominent athletes in the '70s, but it's nice to know decades of adversity, strife, politics, and plastic surgery haven't torn this dynamic duo apart.
Something else that brings the two together? Republicanism! Turns out that despite various criticisms from LGBT activists over her political stance, Caitlyn is staying true to her conservative roots, as evidenced in the new trailer for her reality show I Am Cait.
The new season seems to faithfully document Caitlyn's stuggles with her new status as a representative of the transgender community and how that contradicts her decidedly less than liberal political opinions. Another scene depicts an argument with friend Jenny Boylan, which prompts Cait to say the following:
"Sometimes these girls think that now that I've transitioned that everything has to change. You can't be conservative anymore. You have to be a liberal. No, I don't believe that. I think I can keep all of my views the same cause I feel in my heart that's the best way to go."
Will the season show Caitlyn's slow lean leftwards or will she be transformed by the opinions of her fellow gal pals?
Season 2 of I Am Cait premeires this Sunday at 9pm on E!.
