Chief Keef has been arrested. The rapper has been taken in by police for home invasion, assault and robbery of his former producer and collaborator Ramsay Tha Great in Los Angeles, reports NBC4. Keef, a Chicago native, was taken into custody (with two other suspects) from his million-dollar home in Tarzana.
Ramsay has gone on social media to spill details of the incident. The producer claims that Keef and his crew attacked him following an argument with a woman they apparently both know. It's unclear why she summoned Keef into the home. Keef and company reportedly beat Ramsay with an AK-47 and stole cash and a Rolex.
The producer taunts the rapper for being "stupid," given his fame and net worth. "Y'all can say I'm a rat...I'll see you in court," he says.
In 2013, Keef signed a landmark deal with Interscope Records for $6 million. Since then, he's faced a multitude of legal issues. The rapper claimed he was going to "retire" from rapping last year, per Rolling Stone, but he recently released a new mixtape called Two Zero One Seven.
