Demi Lovato Said She's Leaving The Spotlight: "I'm Not Meant For This"
Demi Lovato is O-V-E-R fame and announced she's taking a break
Demi Lovato is over fame. The singer, who's known for always being outspoken, announced that she's taking a break from the spotlight until 2017. "Taking a break from media and the spotlight," she tweeted. "I am not meant for this business and the media."
So what's behind this decision? Demi has had a longstanding struggle when it comes to fans (and haters), and this could be her way of taking a breather. Earlier this week, she came under fire for criticizing a fan's artwork, which she felt depicted her body totally inaccurately. The 17-year-old male fan caught feelings for it and the trolls rallied behind him.
Demi's hiatus could also be just a hollow threat. Over the summer, she proclaimed that she was quitting Twitter and Instagram-amid online backlash and her own bipolar disorder- but clearly, that decision didn't last too long.
What do you think of Demi Lovato's decision to quit fame until the new year?
