Donald Trump promised to make America great again and that includes finding love for his supporters. With the tagline "make dating great again," Trump Singles is getting a surge in its membership following the election.
The site was created in May by former reality TV coordinator Dave Goss as a safe space for Trump supporters to find each other. A Trump supporter himself, he tells The Hollywood Reporter that “business is great” now that the election is over. "After he won, we've consistently had people sign up every single day. We never expected him to win — at least I didn't."
Trump Singles has about 12,000 active users. The site is free but only members who pay $4.95 per month can send unlimited messages.
"It's been working out for some people," says Goss. "For some people, going on dates and finding out that they supported Trump was a deal killer. That's not the case for our users."
Politics has become a popular topic during dates. During the election, dating app Bumble added custom filters so that users could identify themselves by political party.
