Dr. Luke Breaks Silence, Denies Sexually Assaulting Kesha
The producer goes on a Twitter rant and claims Kesha was like his little sister.
Just days after Kesha was denied release from her recording contract, producer Dr. Luke has broken his silence over allegations that he sexually assaulted the singer. "It’s a shame that there’s so much speculation out there basing itself on so little information," he tweeted. "I didn’t rape Kesha and I have never had sex with her. Kesha and I were friends for many years and she was like my little sister."
Luke, who has worked with superstars like Katy Perry and Nicki Minaj, vehemently denied any wrongdoing over several tweets. He alleges that his former protege denied under oath that he drugged and attacked her. He further alleges that her choice of lawyer is suspect, because the same attorney defended Chris Brown. "Mark Geragos [kesha's attorney] represented Scott Peterson and Chris Brown. How can he pretend he cares about women's rights?"
In Luke's opinion, Kesha's allegations stem from creative differences and contract issues. "It’s sad that she would turn a contract negotiation into something so horrendous and untrue," he tweeted.
So far, artists like Demi Lovato and Taylor Swift have come out to support Kesha. Fans have used the #FreeKesha hashtag to showcase their solidarity.
