I don’t know about you, but when I eat meat I like looking it right in it’s very cute face. Unfortunately, “human decency” and “health codes” makes that very difficult. That’s why I loved this story from Sydney, Australia about a burger pop-up shop serving cute little burgers shaped as Pokémon. They’re adorable and artery-clogging all in one!
Hashtag Burger is known for delivering more than your average patty. Their Facebook page shows an incredible catalogue of stacked meats, held together in glorious architectural shapes by gooey cheese and load-bearing bacon. Their pop-up is called Down-N-Out, a play on our American In-N-Out, and there’s definitely a different vibe. Maybe it’s the like the Banksy of capitalist burger chains? Starting Tuesday and going until September 3, they’ll be serving Pokéburgers in Pikachu, Bulbasaur and Charmander flavors.
Much like the actual Pokémon Go game, you can’t choose which one you get, even if you’re sick to death of collecting Pikachu. Also remember that if you choose to attempt Pokéburger mastery, you will probably be spending your weekend at the gym.
