Cardi B had time today.
Shortly after Azealia Banks slammed her on Twitter, calling her a "poor man's Nicki," Cardi clapped back with receipts. In a ruthless act of pure savagery, Cardi posted a video of Azealia dancing and rapping along to "Bodak Yellow," Cardi's smash hit.
"One of the reasons Bodak Yellow went #1! Cuz even the HATERS love it!" she wrote in the caption.
As Cardi pointed out, Azealia had nothing but good things to say about Cardi during her XXL interview earlier this year. Azealia must have forgotten she's a fan though, because she continued trashing Cardi on social media all week, calling her a "smut" (we can only assume she meant to call her a slut) and going the Meek Mill route by implying that Cardi doesn't write her own raps (because that worked out so well for Meek).
"We know you f*ck for raps gurl. Just like a typical audobon avenue smut," she wrote.
The Shade Room captured it all. Take a look.
Still, Cardi just accomplished something that no other female rapper has done in nearly 20 years — she isn't about to let anyone get her down.
"This is the happiest day of my life and no 1 will take this joy from me," she wrote on Twitter this week. "I wish you sour patches a good day! Thats how happy I am."
