Kendall Jenner shocked her followers when she deleted her Instagram without warning a few days ago. No one knew why, but during a visit to The Ellen DeGeneres Show today, Kendall finally dished on what led her to the action.
Apparently, the 21-year-old was beginning to feel a little too dependent on the app.
"I would wake up in the morning and look at it first thing," she said. 'I would go to bed and it was the last thing I would look at. I felt a little too dependent on it. So I kind of wanted to take a minute. It's a detox. I'll be back."
So, how's she holding up in the meantime? Better than ever, it seems.
"It's really nice. I suggest it," she said. "I'm away from my phone so much more. You start to engage in real life and how you have to deal with real people right in front of you, so it's kind of really nice to be away from it even if it's just Instagram."
Feeling overwhelmed with social media is something many of us can relate to, no doubt, but what Kendall didn't expect was for her decision to "detox" to be such a big deal.
"It's so crazy to me that it even became huge news like that," she explained. "I had no idea anyone was even talking about it. I honestly didn't even think anyone would care."
