#HeterosexualPrideDay Got Ripped To Pieces on Twitter
Twitter responds to ridiculous holiday.
Last weekend, New York City held its annual Pride parade to celebrate the LGBTQ community. One guy apparently feels left out and decided to start his own hashtag celebrating straight people. That's right. Today is #HeterosexualPrideDay on Twitter.
According to The New Civil Rights Movement, some moron troll homophobe named Sam on Twitter founded the ridiculous holiday. "Do gays realize I've used their logic against them yet? Or are they still mad over something that hasn't happened? Like dying for being gay," he tweeted. He continues, "For gays being oppressed, they sure are acting oppressive toward straights tonight.#HeterosexualPrideDay."
People--both straight and part of the LGBTQ community--have blasted the hashtag. The very notion that straight people need a day to celebrate being an unoppressed majority group is nonsense. "Really? #HeterosexualPrideDay What's next, #BreathingAirDay ?," asked Dapper 29.
Here are some of the best responses to the offensive holiday:
