Did Mariah Carey just out-Mariah herself? One of the singer's previous co-stars recently spilled the tea on what she was really like to work with, and the resulting story may just be the most Mariah Carey thing anyone has ever heard.
HuffPo reports that back in 2015, Carey was booked to film a cameo for comedy series The House. According to one of Carey's co-stars, Rob Huebel, not only was the queen diva four hours late actually arriving on set, but she demanded that her team fill her trailer with white roses and stuffed lambs. The stuffed lambs are obviously a reference to her fans, which she calls lambs, but the white roses? Well, that just sounds like Mariah being Mariah.
That's not even the craziest part, though. Not only did she decide she didn't want to sing the song she was booked to sing in the scene, but she wanted the fictional version of herself to have superhuman abilities — no, really.
"So then they were going to do this bit where they shoot her, I think, and they kill her — in the movie, not in real life," Huebel said during a recent interview with SiriusXM's Entertainment Weekly Radio. "But she didn't want that. She was like, 'I don't think my character would get killed by bullets. What if I deflected them like Wonder Woman?'"
"They were like, 'Mariah, we don't have time. You're getting paid so much money. We have you for one day. We don't have time to argue with you. Just do it,'" Huebel continued. "She just didn't want to do what they wanted her to do."
Is Mariah Carey even real or is she just a figment of our collective imagination? Because some of these stories are just too entertaining to be true. Never change, boo.
