Out of all of Donald Trump's allies, perhaps Kanye West was the strangest. The rapper had formerly claimed it was "important to have a direct line of communication with our future President if we truly want change." Now, not so much! Yeezy has now deleted all tweets about his thoughts, feelings, and relationship with the R'lehyian entity turned leader of the free world.
Insider sources at TMZ are saying that Kanye ain't so pleased with Trump's first two weeks in office and is particularly miffed about the Muslim ban. It's a pretty strange change of tune, considering Trump is delivering on the promises that Kanye at one point said he would have voted for (if he voted at all — which he didn't).
It was only in December that Kanye had met with Trump himself in the hopes of discussing issues like "bullying, supporting teachers, modernizing curriculums, and violence in Chicago," according to Kanye himself.
Does this mean Kanye is joining the growing resistance against Trump, or is he backing away from political engagement entirely? From the man who once claimed "George Bush doesn't care about black people," it's slightly easier to believe the former, although who even knows anything anymore.
