Kanye West Introduced Tyga As His Newest Artist And The Internet Lost It
When keeping business in the Krew looks more like smooching...
Tyga's had a hell of a few years, and if he didn't have the Kardashian-Jenners by his side, it's safe to say it could've been worse. Luckily, the ties he built with Kylie and the family has resonated over to his musical career as well.
Kanye West just announced that Tyga is the newest signee to G.O.O.D. Music, and the Internet has lost its damn mind! The announcement came after a very controversial Yeezy Season 4 NYFW premiere that ended with a pop-up show at New York City's Highline Ballroom.
The merging makes sense, I guess, with all the time the family spends together. Still, it comes off as a bit smooching, especially when you remember Kylie recently bought her rapper boo a new car after his got repossessed. The rising beauty mogul is coming off more as the supergirlfriend saving her financially-struggling boyfriend from yet another year of lawsuits, also known as "the suga daughter." At least that's what Twitter's saying:
I mean... can you deny them?
During the time Tyga was controversially rumored to be dating Kylie in 2014 (and therefore getting closer to Kanye through Kim Kardashian), Tyga's musical career began to take a turn for the worse on the business side, with his music labels waning in their support. However, Tyga and Kanye began to work together— as many predicted would happen. Kanye served as executive producer for Tyga's fourth album The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty, and the rumor quickly spread that he was to sign to Kanye's G.O.O.D. Music label soon after.
It's a good thing for Tyga, since he's been publicly struggling here and there financially, even though - as pointed out by Complex - he remains to be listed as an artist on Young Money and Cash Money labels.
I guess we'll just have to see if this gets messy business-wise... certainly it'd put him in an awkward place personally should another breakup go down.
Tyga will be joining the same roster as hip-hop's newcomer Desiigner and the industry's beloved Teyana Taylor, as well as Pusha T, Big Sean, John Legend and more.
