Kid Cudi has been taking care of his mental well-being in rehab, but that doesn't mean he can't hear what people are saying about him. Following Drake's diss earlier this week, Cudi has fired back on Twitter. "Say it to face, p*ssy," he tweeted. "You think it's a game. I wanna see you say it to my face. I'll be out soon. Promise."
The clapback comes on the heels of Drake's harsh words in his song "Two Birds, One Song." "You were the man on the moon, now you just go through your phases. Life of the angry and the famous," the Toronto rapper says. "Man on the moon" likely refers to the name of Cudi's first album. Many point to "phases" as noting Cudi's struggle with depression. Later on in the song, Drake appears to point at Cudi's issues with substance abuse: "Still never been on hiatus/You stay xann'd and perk'd up. So when reality set in, you don't gotta face it."
Drake and Cudi were once publicly cool. Tensions surface last month when Cudi tweeted about Drake using a ghostwriter and being phony.
"Two Birds, One Stone" was criticized for going too far by many fans. Let's see if—and how—Drake responds.
