Lindsay Lohan Says Her Fiance Abused Her Multiple Times
"No woman can be hit and stay with that person if that person isn't prepared to say sorry."
Lindsay Lohan is going through it lately. Public drama, pregnancy rumors, and now things are looking even more dangerous between her and her fiance Egor Tarabasov.
The two were photographed engaged in a violent altercation during a recent trip to the Greek island of Mykonos. According to the Daily Mail, Lindsay and Egor were arguing in a car when Lindsay threw his phone, then got out of the car. Egor chased her and attempted to grab the phone away from her, twisting her arms around her back. It was all caught on camera.
Now, in a new interview with the Daily Mail, Lohan is opening up about not only that fight, but also her relationship with Egor -- one that she claims is and has been abusive for a long time now.
"I realize now you can't stay in a relationship just for love," she said. "No woman can be hit and stay with that person if that person isn't prepared to say sorry."
Lohan even addressed the fight the two had a couple weeks ago on the balcony of their London apartment. The incident was caught on camera, and in the video Lindsey can be heard screaming, "Please, please. He just strangled me. He almost killed me."
"When we got home [from a night out] I went to bed and Egor went out," she explained. "A few hours later he came back and when I woke up he was standing over me. He wasn't himself, he was being very aggressive and he attacked me."
"I wanted to do this interview because it's time to tell the truth," she continued. "There have been so many lies printed about me recently. I've kept quiet for so long but now I'm scared of what Egor might do to me and to himself."
"It's not the first time," she continued. "That's the problem. But this time, someone saw."
Lindsay went on to say that she's taking time out for herself for awhile, though she hopes to speak with Egor soon.
"I know I'm not an angel but I've tried to fix things. It's down to him now," the actress said. "I had suggested we go for couples' counseling but there comes a time when I have to put myself first, my family, and also think about my career which I've worked so hard for. I also don't want to let my fans down by not being the strong woman I have become."
Stay strong, Lindsay!
