McDonald's Is Giving Away Real, Actual Golden French Fries
Snap a pic and strike gold.
McDonald's is living up to its reputation for golden arches. After giving Japanese diners chocolate-covered french fries, the fast food giant is giving away french fries made of gold--real gold--as part of a new promotion.
According to Grub Street, customers can enter the Willy Wonka-esque contest by downloading a special app. To enter: snap a pic of something that's "frylike," apply the specific filter that puts the object inside a fry carton, and upload it using the hashtag. Fans apparently are loving the contest and early entries include: pencils, hair, Pokemon characters and plush toys.
The contest runs through June 7th. No word on what the actual prize looks like, or what someone would do with a carton of solid gold fries.
