Meek Mill Missed Out On The Chance To Star In A Will Smith-Produced Movie Because Of Parole Issues
Meek Mill is officially having the worst year ever.
The hits just come keep on coming for Meek Mill. For starters, it's pretty much impossible to mention his name without bringing up the humiliating defeat he suffered at the hands of Drake in the rap beef of the summer. That alone can't be easy for anyone to recover from. Next came the legal problems - because Meek technically violated his parole by traveling, he could be facing actual jail time come his sentencing in February.
Things have somehow gotten even worse for him however. The Philly-born rapper was set to appear in 12 O'Clock Boys, a movie about illegal dirt bike riding produced by Will Smith's Overbrook Entertainment. Page Six reports that instead of traveling to Hollywood to discuss the role, Meek had to take a urine test as part of his probation, even though he'd just taken one four days before.
As if that isn't bad enough, because Meek can't leave town until the hearing in 2016, he's missed out on the chance to perform with Nicki at Drai's in Las Vegas. According to Page Six's sources, not only would it have been the "first step" in getting him a residency, but Meek would have made a cool $140,000 for the gig. It's hard not to feel bad for a guy who seems to be hitting bottom before he's even had a chance to see the top.
